This is the first documentary film on the International College of Philosophy (Collège 　　international de Philosophie: CIPH), founded by, among others, Jacques Derrida and 　　François Châtelet in 1983 in Paris. The film consists of interviews with former presidents 　　Michel Deguy, François Noudelmann and Bruno Clément, current vice-president Boyan 　　Manchev, and with former and current program directors Catherine Malabou, Francisco 　　Naishtat and Gisèle Berkman. The aim of this film is to consider the possibilities of the 　　humanities in general and philosophy in particular under the current conditions of global 　　capitalism. 《尊严》讲述的是中国留学生在美国的故事。赴美留学 生林雪在一个名叫露易莎的老妇人家做管家，露寡居多年， 性情古怪，并有种族偏见，善解人意的林雪先是百般忍让， 最终不堪忍受对方的侮辱提出辞职。露为挽留林雪，召回正在竞选议员的儿子、大银行家爱德华帮助说服，但遭到林雪拒绝。爱恼羞成怒，对其言辞侮辱，并大打出手。为了维护尊严，林雪决定状告爱德华。美籍华人律师李岩为林雪出庭辩护。林雪不屈不挠的精神和李岩义正辞严的辩护终于征服了陪审团。在法庭上，败诉的爱德华向林雪赔礼道歉，并将一张赔偿支票交给林雪。林雪毅然将支票捐献给美国儿童教育基金会。
